Privacy Policy

This page explains how UrBooked handles information when you use urbooked.net, create a salon, book an appointment, or email us. It is a standard website policy, not legal advice and not a claim that a lawyer has reviewed it. Questions: hello@urbooked.net.
Who we are
UrBooked is an online booking product for nail, hair, lash, and spa salons. We operate from the San Francisco Bay Area in California. We do not list a registered company name or street address here because this site does not publish one. For privacy requests, write to hello@urbooked.net.
What we collect
- Account data. Owner and staff name, email, phone, password (stored as a hash), salon name, booking slug, plan, and settings you enter.
- Salon content. Services, prices, hours, team profiles, photos you upload, themes, and walk-in settings.
- Appointment data. Client name, contact details they provide at booking, service, time, assigned tech, notes, walk-in queue entries, and appointment status.
- Support messages. Name, email, phone, salon name, and the message you send through contact or the custom-website form.
- Usage logs. Standard server and hosting logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) used to run and secure the service.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in (urbooked_session) and, on some trial accounts, to remember the salon so it survives a server restart (urbooked_vault). These cookies are not used to sell ads. If you block them, you will not be able to stay logged in.
Payments
When a salon collects a card deposit on an appointment, payment is processed by Stripe. UrBooked does not store full card numbers. Stripe handles the card data under its own terms and privacy policy. Starting a trial on this site does not require a card.
Email and texts
We send transactional email (booking confirmations, support replies, website-lead notices). If a salon collects a phone number, we may send transactional SMS reminders through a messaging provider. We do not use booking contacts for unrelated marketing lists.
How we use information
We use the data above to run the booking product: create accounts, show availability, take appointments and walk-ins, send confirmations, bill the salon subscription when you choose a paid plan, answer support, and keep the service secure. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context advertising.
California privacy
If you are a California resident you may ask us what personal information we have collected about you, ask us to delete it where the law allows, and ask us to correct it. We will not discriminate against you for making a request. Email hello@urbooked.net with the subject “Privacy request” and enough detail to find your account. We do not sell personal information as that term is used in the CCPA / CPRA.
How long we keep data
We keep salon and appointment records while the account is active and for a reasonable period after so the owner can reopen the book or resolve a dispute. You can ask us to delete an account by emailing support. We may keep limited records required for security, billing, or law.
Processors
We use hosting (including Vercel), email delivery, and Stripe for deposits. Those companies only receive what they need to provide their service.
Children
UrBooked is built for salon businesses, not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
